Ms. Claudia is a para at St. Marks Elementary and Middle School. She has been helping St. Marks students for 7 years. She assists with K-5 and occasionally helps grades 6-8. She is a loving, helpful, kind person who recently discovered that she had cancer at the end of last school  year. She can no longer come and help the students as often as she used to. Still she continues to assist at St. Marks as much as she can.

When she’s not helping out at the school she likes to play with her grandkids, garden, and read. When the school found out she had cancer, they had to do something to help her, so they held a jeans day fundraiser to help her with the first cancer treatment. She was so surprised when she received the money. She couldn’t believe the school did the fundraiser for her, and successfully raised enough money to help out with the first treatment.

Ms. Claudia became a para because she worked her whole career in tech and marketing jobs and never really liked it. She took several years off to care for her mother. After her mother passed away Ms. Claudia decided she would do something she liked.
