The Playoff Countdown for the Andale Indians

Support the Andale Indians in their Regional match up vs. Scott City Beavers

On Friday, October, 27th the Andale Indians faced off against the Hugoton Eagles. The Indians played well enough to get the win 46-0, but this upcoming Friday Andale will have to travel to Scott City for a Regional playoff showdown.

The Scott City Beavers are entering the game with an 8-1 record and a strong regular season showing.  The Beavers won their first round game against Smokey Valley 51-14. If the Indians want to win their 5th straight State Championship, they must not overlook any opponent and take care of business this round. This Indians team is led by Head Coach Dylan Schmidt (an overall record of 80-3 as a head coach). The Beavers team is led by Head Coach Jim May, with their sole loss this season coming from Millwood, OK. The Scott City Beavers are led by Junior quarterback Camden Vulgamore.

The Andale Indians are led by Sophomore quarterback Sam Harp. This game will inevitably be a playoff game of the week with little room for error. Throughout all of last week and this week Head Coach Dylan Schmidt has spoken to the players about coming out quick and playing with 100% perfect effort. This week of practice and preparation can make or break the Indians chances. The Indians have a chance to win their 5th straight title but it all comes down to preparation and film. High school football games are very unpredictable, no one should assume they’re going to win that’s why we play the game.

The Indians will have to face a three hour drive to Scott City, Kansas and back after the game is over. If they take care of business and win this Friday vs. the Scott City Beavers then they will face either Collegiate or Rock Creek High School. The Indians and Collegiate have already faced each other and the Indians came out on top winning 28-7. Overall the Indians will have tough tasks to face going up against the Scott City Beavers. The Indians are up for the challenge and are ready to battle to win another state title in Class 3A Football!
