Mason Fairchild and His March to Success!

Mason Fairchild a former TE/DE at Andale High School for the Andale Indians football team has made leaps and bounds as a KU Jayhawk football player. Fairchild finished his senior season 11-1 and as 2018 District Champions but ended up loosing to Pratt in the playoffs witch ended his 2018 season.  In July 2019 Fairchild also represented Andale at the Kansas Shrine Bowl West Team. Everyone by now knows  Fairchild has continued to make improvements to his game and been a key player for the Jayhawks at the Univertity of Kansas living the dream as a D1 offensive TE.

Mason Fairchild in his years as a D1 football player has racked up some impressive performances. Fairchild was named Second Team All Big-12. Ahead of the 2023 season, Fairchild was named a Preseason Third-Team All-Big 12 selection by Phil Steele and Athlon Sports. Fairchild would also be named to the John Mackey Award watch list, which is given to the nation’s best tight ends. On Saturday, October 28, the University of Kansas played the #6 nationally ranked Oklahoma Sooners. This particular game put KU on the map once again with an upset against a 7-0 OU team vs KU 5-2 team. Fairchild had the second most receiving yards on the team that day with 62 yards and an avg of 20.7 yards per catch. KU beat OU in a neck to neck game with a score of 38-33.

  • Since the start of the ’22 season Farichild’s 8 recieving TD’s are 3rd most among active Power 5 tight ends
  • Semifinalist for the ’23 William V. Campbell Trophy, awarded by the National Football Foundation (award is for premier college football players with academic success, on-field performance, and exemplary leadership)
  • ’23 Team Captain
  • ’23 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team
  • ’23 Spring Dr. Gerald Lage Academic Award
  • ’21 & ’20  Academic All-Big 12 Football First Team
