This week, we’re shining a spotlight on Karson Butts, a standout tight end whose skills on the field are truly remarkable. In our chat, I asked Butts about his football journey and what lies ahead for him.
Starting with the basics, I asked when he began playing football and why he loves it. Butts said he started around ages 5-6 and credits his dad, who played in college.
We also talked about Butt’s big achievement: getting into the Kansas Shrine Bowl. It’s a big deal for top high school seniors who play football and raise money for kids in need for the Shriners Hospital. Butts thinks it’ll boost his football career since it’s a showcase for the best players.
We didn’t forget about his time at Andale High School. I asked if he’ll miss his teammates and what his favorite memories are. Butts said he’s sad to leave the team, but winning the state championship junior year tops his list of highlights.
Lastly, I asked about his future plans. Butts believes he could go pro if he keeps working hard. His dream? Playing for the Miami Dolphins because he loves the idea of a warm climate and wearing their colors!
