The Indian’s track team tavels to Hutchinson this Friday. This is a big meet full of plenty of competition for the track athletes. The team did not go to Hutchinson’s meet last year. This meet is replacing the El Dorado meet from the 2023 season. If you remember the El Dorado meet last year it was very cold, rainy, and windy. The Hutchinson meet will have even better competition for the AHS athletes.
This will be one of the better meets Andale will compete at (with exceptions of regionals and state). There are a lot of big name schools competing these include: Bishop Carroll, Campus, Dodge City, Goddard Eisenhower, Garden City, Hutchinson, Liberal, Maize, Wichita East, Wichita West, Wichita Northwest, and Wichita Southeast. As you can see there are plenty of really good schools attending this meet.
Andale has plenty of athletes that can step up to the challenge. To name a few on the boys side Cooper Marx, Rylan White, Braydon Richeson, Harrison Potucek, Sam Harp, Nich Winter, and Bo Kaiser. On the girls side Grace Rowland, Betsy Reichenberger, Jojo Cutler, Rylee Meyer, Arwyn Henessy, Ava Steven, Kate Eck, Emily Struckman, and Taya Orth are all willing to step up to the challenge.
Andale is really going to have to fight for first at this meet, but they can get it done with the help of
their hard working and determined athletes. The weather is looking warm, windy, and rainy which are not ideal conditions, but they are going to have to work. As the season winds down as state draws closer we encourage all of you to come cheer on our Andale track athletes, as they keep working hard through the season.
