Spring is here and so is lawn care. Time to break out those dusty lawnmowers and spend a couple hours in the hot sun. But you don’t have to! This amazing student entrepreneur named Seth Graf owner of Graf Lawn Care is willing to work just about any day. I had the opportunity to ask Graf some questions so you can get a feel of what he has to offer and if he’s the right guy for you!
Q: What is your business?
A: It is a lawn care and landscaping business that is insured and licensed by the American Family Insurance Group.
Q: When did you start your business?
A: Started in May of 2022 but didn’t get insured until May of 2023 when I bought my mower.
Q: What services do you offer?
A: I offer a variety of services such as mowing, landscaping, small tree removals, gutter cleanouts, sod and seeding, and aerating and thatching
Q: What are your most popular services?
A: My most popular services are mowing, gutter clean outs, and landscaping.
Q: How have you improved your business throughout the years?
A: I got insured and reinvested all my profits into buying the best equipment like new mowers, weed eaters, and a ladder. I advertise on Facebook, and ask people to tell others about my business.
Q: What makes people want to choose you?
A: I am very presentable and professional. I think about what I say to my client(s) and make it better for the next time I talk to them. I always communicate with the customers, whether its ETA or the day I’ll be there.
Q: What equipment do you use and what are their purposes?
A: I use a grasshopper mower, with a 52in deck for my larger properties. I spent the extra money on a grasshopper because of the hydraulic deck making it easier to sharpen the blades and clean the deck. I have a John Deere mower with a 42in deck with a bagger as my backup mower. I have two weed eaters both are Stihl brand and they both can attach multiple heads like a pole saw or rototill. I have a thatcher and aerator for improving grass health. I have a sprayer for weeds and driveways. I have a 2001 Dodge Cummins 2500 turbo diesel that pulls my 16ft trailer around with all of my equipment. I also have a 18in Honda push mower that is self propelled for my smaller properties. Lastly I am planning on buying a tractor in the future for my really big jobs which would allow a bigger variety of services for everyone.
