Gold Rush Volleyball – September 19

The Lady Owls volleyball team celebrates the start of the 2024 season.

This Thursday, September 19, the varsity and JV volleyball games will be Gold Rush themed. Garden Plain will be taking on the Rose Hill Rockets and the Cheney Cardinals at 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. If you show up to the games wearing your best gold outfit you will be entered into a raffle for prizes. Prizes will be awarded to the people with the best outfits, as voted on and chosen by our GPHS Sports and Entertainment Marketing class. Prizes are being sponsored by Body & Soul Nutrition and The Nest. The main goal of the evening is to pack the house with gold and cheer on the Lady Owls! Be there, and show some school spirit, this Thursday, September 19.

Volleyball Recap:

To start off the season the varsity played a tough schedule leading them to a 5-4 record on the season. Although there have been a lot of close games, Cheney 25-27 and 22-25, Inman 20-25 in both sets, and against Sedgwick they lost 24-26, the Lady Owls are focused on making small improvements to resolve these small margin losses.

This is my first year with Renwick Review. I have been involved in many different sports including; 3 years of volleyball and dance, 2 years of basketball, and 1 year of track. I have also been in an assortment of clubs like KAY, SADD, CYM, and Class Officer. I am excited to write about our amazing sports teams and to produce hype videos.
