KAY Club

Students Getting Involved

Kansas Association of Youth, that is what KAY stands for, but it’s an organization that is so much more. Senior Peyton Custer, president of our region and local chapter, loves KAYs. She said, “If you are thinking about joining it, definitely go for it.”

Custer said that KAYs has made her more interested in going into a service based career too. This year she is hoping to do more social events than just service projects.

Emma Nickelson is also a member of KAYs and loves it. Nickelson said, “I will continue doing KAYs because it is fun and we get to meet new people.” KAYs has also made her more aware of all the ways you can help people. When asked what her favorite thing about KAYs is she instantly said, “Helping people.”

The KAYs club organizes a number of events throughout the year including the Christmas craft fair, letters from Santa, angel tree, blood drive, blanket making, food drive, and many more.

Jenica Trout, Garden Plain HS - Renwick Review
This is my first year on the Renwick Review. I am involved with volleyball and track. One thing I love about our district is all of the amazing people. My teachers inspire me and motivate me everyday in and out of the classroom. I would love to take pictures of all of the great things that happen around the whole Renwick district.
