Just Keep Dancing

The hype on Colwich Middle Schools dance!

The Colwich Middle School dance has been the hype in middle school for the past few years. According to the middle school students Colwich has the best dance out of the four schools in the district. Hazel Purkey, Colwich’s Stuco president says she thinks Colwich has the best dance because “it’s the last dance of the year, everyone is excited and looking forward to having fun at the last dance and the weather is very nice. Colwich has also done snow cones at our dances where the kids can enjoy them outside. I believe students are very excited about the dance, especially the 8th graders since it’s their last dance before high school”.

As much fun as this dance is, it comes at a price. The dance always has a DJ, a small snack and drink stand and of course lots of decorations. The Colwich Stuco works hard all year funding money for this event. They spent all year working at the concession stand and hosted a Christmas store called the “elf shelf”.  This year’s dance theme was Western/USA, “dress country or for your country”. The dance was this past Friday and from the pictures it looks like they had a blast!

Carmen Whalen, Andale HS - Renwick Review
I am a Senior at Andale High and this is my first year editing for Renwick Review. I am a cheerleader and a part of the Students Against Destructive Decisions club. One thing I love about our district is the teachers, they care about their students personal lives as well as our school accomplishments. Someone I look up to is my sister because she has always accomplished anything she puts her mind to and has an amazing attitude.
