Middle School Track Results (Kingman)

The Andale middle school track team traveled to Kingman on Tuesday. This is their first meet of the year, because their Chaparral meet got canceled in a previous week. This is a fairly big meet and will consist of 10 teams attending, which means good competition for the middle-schoolers. All of the Andale teams took first by more than 20 points.

The 7th grade girls put up a whopping 203 points the next closest team being the Norwich girls with 73 points. The placers for the girls included, Chloe Eck, she took first in the 100 Meter dash, 200 Meter dash, and the 400 Meter run. Natalie Buchanan took third in the 3200 Meter run. Braelyn King took first in the 100 meter hurdles and pole vault. Kinley Spexarth took first in the 200 meter hurdles and first in triple jump. Karen Hieger took first in the long jump, and took second in the triple jump. Breckin Dunbar took second in the pole vault. Maddie Becker took first in the discus and second in the shot put. Jasney Zimmerman took third in discus she and took first in the shot put. An all round great performance for the girl’s first track meet in middle school.

The 7th grade boys put up 166 points the next closest team to them was Reno County Home School with 76 points. The placers for the boys were, Jayven Danzel took first in the high jump, 200 meter dash, and took second in the 100 meter dash. Wyatt Brand took second in the 400 meter run. Hank Molitor took third in the 800 meter run. Jonah Cutler took first in the 3200 meter run and second in the 1600 meter run. Jax Smith took first in the 100 meter hurdles and took third in the long jump. Weston Stanhope took first in the 200 meter hurdles, shot put, and he took second in the discus. Finn Lubbers took second in the 200 meter hurdles. Jack Williams took second in the pole vault. Luke Fowler took third in the shot put. The 4×100 meter relay took second, the 4×200 meter relay took first, and the 4×400 meter relay took fourth. This was a very good first meet for the boys with some really good marks. They will only continue to get better.

The 8th grade girls put up 113 points the next closest team to them was Pretty Prairie with 90 points. The placers for the girls were, Alania Guardiola took third in the 400 meter run. Ali Winter took second in the 800 meter run, her sister Rylee took first in the 1600 meter run. Ali Winter also took third in the triple jump. Grace Schmitz took third in the 100 meter hurdles. Maleah Spexarth took first in the 200 meter hurdles and in the long jump. Josie Harp tied for second in the high jump. Lacey Winter took third in the long jump. The girls 4×100 took first, the 4×200 took third, and the 4×400 took first.

The 8th grade boys put up 173 points the next closest team being Chaparral with 143 points. Emmett Eck and Luke Martin went one and two in the 800 meter run. Emmett took first and Luke took second. Emmett also took second in the pole vault, and Luke took third in the triple jump. William Parks and Judd Eck went one and three in the 1600 meter run. William took first and Judd took second. William Parks and Cade Brown went one and two in the 3200 meter run. William took first and Cade took second. Parker Lies too first in the 200 meter hurdles and took second in the long jump. Cruz Kaiser took first in the pole vault, and second in the high jump. Philip Neely took third in high jump. Bradeyn Spexarth took first in the discus and second in shot put. The boys 4×100 took first, the 4×200 took first, and the boys 4×400 took first.

The middle school track teams are looking really good this year. There was a lot of very impressive marks and times from all age groups.  This was a great start to the season, but they need to keep building off of it if they want to win the league championship. As always we encourage all of you to come out and support our Andale teams.
