The Kansas Speedway

In 2002 the official speedway of Kansas was opened up. Located in Kansas City, Kansas the track holds two NASCAR races every year, them being the “Hollywood Casino 400” and the “Advent Health 400”. The “Hollywood Casino 400 is was help on September 10th 2023 and the Advent Health 400 will be held on may 5th 2024.

Ground breaking on the speedway was held on may 25th 1999 as the track was not finished until June 2nd 2001. The first events being an ARCA Menards Series race and a NASCAR K&N Pro Series West race on the same day. In the summer of 2012 the track has a huge revamp fixing the track conditions as well as adding a 2.37 mile road cores to the track.

The track has been owned by NASCAR since 2019, with Patrick Warren being the tracks president. The Speedway brings in approximately $3.7 million dollars in revenue each year. In 2002 they spent over $200 million building the track to what it is today.

Tickets start at $150 with kids under 12 getting in for free with perches of a adult ticket. The races are two day events with available camping grounds close to the track. With tailgates and more the Kansas Speedway is a fun event for everyone.
