All About Fisher Lumber

All About Fisher Lumber

Fisher Lumber is a company that excels in various areas. When you are their customer, they are going to give you their full attention and their best effort to fulfill your needs. They offer everything you need to remodel a home or build a new one. They help with the whole process, from foundation material to pre-finished cabinets. Other products they offer include: wood molding, lumber, siding materials, exterior doors, fireplaces, deck materials, interior doors, trim material, countertops, hardware, paint and stains, and Jeld-Wen & Gerkin windows and doors.

Fisher Lumber also has a custom woodshop where they can build custom cabinet doors and so much more. The options are endless with their variety of hardwood they have in the store. They offer delivery to various locations and can do off-road delivery.

With locations in Garden Plain, Andale, Kingman, and Wichita, Fisher Lumber tries to support as many charitable organizations and causes as they can to support the community for supporting them as a business. Fisher Lumber is Renwick Review’s first sponsor, supporting our new website and our students’ work by purchasing the banner ad at the top of our website.

Goals that Fisher Lumber looks to achieve are to grow in a reasonable fashion and to continue to exceed customers needs and expectations. According to Kendall Fisher, “We’ve added new products and services throughout the years to help us grow and satisfy customers’ needs. From adding our own door shop where we can build custom pre-hungs, to moving showroom locations here recently to a smaller location more suited for us. We are very aware that we must keep up with the changing times and be willing to adapt with them.”

What started as a vision, is now a resilient business. Vance Fisher, after serving his country in World War II, worked as the manager of the Comley Lumberyard for many years. Vince and Marjorie Fisher bought the yard on Main Street in Garden Plain and started Fisher Lumber Company in 1955. It improved from there, and he outgrew the original location and built the existing building on 30010 W. Harry St. in Garden Plain. He included his last name in the business, making it Fisher Lumber. Fisher Lumber is so much more than just a lumber company, they are a helpful and reliable friend to the community. The Renwick Review staff would like to thank Fisher Lumber for the sponsorship.

Allyson Bolinger, Garden Plain HS - Renwick Review
This is my first year doing Renwick Review. I'm involved in STUCO as a class representative, KAYs, basketball, and volleyball. In Renwick we have the best support system, whether that be through the teachers or community, they all want us to succeed. A person that inspires me is Tom Hanks, as he once said, "Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get." I'd like to write stories, interview people, and create content.
